LATE blog post about L.A/Tuesday the 11th of Dec. 2006
Yesterday in L.A we talked about the test we took on Monday, and talked about Tanka’s which are an old Chinese/Japanese way of poetry. Our homework/classwork was to pick an old holiday card from Mrs.E’s bucket and write a tanka about it. We are going to send our Tanka’s to our Pen Pals in Italy. Below is a example of a tanka. Please don’t use because it is part of my homework!!!
Forever Friends
5 syllables: Enjoying the view
7 Syllables: Walking side by side
5 syllables: Magic’s in the air
7 syllables: A friend is everything
7 syllables: Expecally when there’s snow.

Meghan-I nominate this post foran ESPA, I would like to nominate this post because I forgot the order of the syllables and I was able to check and get theinformation from your post. I ALSO LIKED HOW YOU PUT AN EXAMPLE OF YOUR OWN TANKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This sould win an ESPA award. I love how you gave details and if I wasn’t a student then I could definatley be able to know exactly what we were doing in class.
