A True Hero
I recently read a story in TIME FOR KIDS titled “Honoring Heroes”. The artical was about a man named Mke Reagon of Emdomens Washington, who paints portrits of soldiers or loved ones that died in honor of our country. Mike doesn’t charge any money for his realistic looking paintings and calls this process the “Fallen Heroes Project”.
In my opinion the topic of the story was very interesting and informented. I never knew about Mike Reagon’s Fallen Heroes project. Also, when I did some reascearch on this topic, I discovered that Mike started drawing pictures in 1962 when he broke his arm. He decided to draw a famous solider he relized that he was awesome at it, and that he wanted to draw more pictures of soldiers to make him feel good. I thought that was interesting because I wanted to know more About Mike Reagon!!!!
This story in TIME FOR KIDS very well written and interesting and well written. I hope to hear more about mike and his drawings next time!
It’s amazing how well he can draw and even more amazing that he helps other people for free cope with a loved ones death.
